Call for Entrepreneurs and Start-ups to apply to RIndustry Competition

To support the development of new #startups with innovative products/services addressing #energy, #water and/or resource #efficiency in #Egyptian Industries, EU funded project RIndustry called upon #startups and #entrepreneurs to apply and join its call for its startup competition.

Running until September 20, the competition saw 10 winning start-ups vying for financial and non-financial support under this call.

The energy efficiency RIndustry Competition is a partnership between the British University in Egypt (BUE), RCREEE, CMRDI and Isisorganic

Winning start-ups will each receive €15,000

Selected startups, who will receive financial and non-financial support under this call, will go through an incubation phase for about 12 months where seed funds (up to 15,000 Euros-each) will be offered to cover for activities such as product/service development, marketing, staff cost, testing & validation, and so on. The total amount of financial support will be defined according to the startup Business Plan, Business Model (including costs, revenues & risks), value proposition and marketability, and business implementation activities.

In addition to financial support, incubated startups will also benefit from the other services/facilities that would enable them to develop their business in an entrepreneurship conducive environment, including designated co-working space, business mentorship and coaching, networking and access to selected events to showcase their products/services, and training in business-related topics.

The selection process is transparent, impartial and apply equal opportunity measures. Females and minorities are encouraged to apply.
